New Orleans,LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a skilled TIG or MIG Welder with aluminum experience to join our fabrication team. This role focuses on precision welding of aluminum components used in industrial equipment and custom fabrication projects. Pay: $28-$30/hour (based on experience).

Essential Duties:
• Perform TIG welding on aluminum materials (thin gauge to heavy wall)
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
• Ensure welds meet quality and safety standards
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including proper gas selection and settings
• Grind, clean, and prep materials prior to welding
• Inspect completed welds for accuracy, strength, and appearance
• Collaborate with fabrication and production teams to meet deadlines

Requirements/Skills:
• 2+ years of TIG welding experience, specifically with aluminum
• Strong understanding of heat control and distortion prevention
• Ability to weld in multiple positions (flat, vertical, overhead)
• Experience reading blueprints and measuring accurately
• Familiarity with shop tools (grinders, saws, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fabrication shop environment
• Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs
• Manual dexterity to operate welding equipment and tools
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and industrial conditions
