About the Company
Customer Driven Staffing is currently hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Welder / Fabricator for a leading metal recycling and processing facility serving South Florida.
This position is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding the heavy industrial equipment and structural steel that keep the recycling operation running safely and efficiently. Unlike a production welding shop, this role focuses on repairing equipment that operates in a demanding industrial environment where steel components are subjected to constant impact, vibration, and wear.
The successful candidate will perform welding and fabrication on industrial metal shredders, conveyor systems, elevated platforms, catwalks, hoppers, steel structures, trailers, roll-off containers, processing equipment, and other heavy-duty machinery throughout the recycling yard.
If you enjoy solving mechanical problems, rebuilding damaged steel structures, and working on heavy industrial equipment, this is an excellent long-term opportunity with a stable company that values craftsmanship, safety, and reliability.
Position Summary
The Industrial Maintenance Welder / Fabricator performs structural welding, fabrication, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs on heavy industrial equipment used throughout the recycling process.
This position is responsible for rebuilding worn components, repairing cracked structural steel, replacing damaged wear plates, reinforcing heavy equipment, and fabricating replacement parts to minimize equipment downtime and maintain safe operations.
Daily work may include repairing or rebuilding:
- Industrial metal shredders and shredder components
- Shredder housings, wear plates, and support structures
- Conveyor systems and transfer chutes
- Elevated work platforms and catwalks
- Structural steel supports and equipment frames
- Hoppers, bins, feed systems, and processing equipment
- Roll-off containers, scrap boxes, trailers, and dumpsters
- Heavy equipment attachments and material handling systems
Most work is performed outdoors in an active recycling yard around heavy machinery and industrial equipment. This is a physically demanding position that requires strong fabrication skills, attention to safety, and the ability to troubleshoot structural failures quickly.
